VAST is a new type of assessment system built upon the lessons learned from 20+ years of standards-based testing and reporting.
Developed in close partnership with CA districts and experts in the assessment and data reporting fields; VAST provides value to administrators, teachers, and students alike.
VAST is more than an assessment system; it’s a complete data reporting and analysis solution meant to integrate with any other system you may be using.
Built Differently
VAST was born out of the frustration of the ever-increasing pricing and consolidation of vendors in the K-12 assessment space. Val Verde Unified School District and Viridian Education partnered to create a new assessment system built in concert with educators working on the ground with students every day.
The Right View For You
Robust Content Creation For Everyone
Hi, I’m IAN! Your Item Authoring Navigator
Content you author is always yours!
VAST supports all Smarter-Balanced Item types, including complex types like graphing and 2-part Evidence-Based Selected Response.
Support for calculators, equation palettes, rubrics, and additional stimuli (i.e., passages, videos, external links, etc.)
Teachers and item authors can create any item type in VAST.
Assessments and Content Items are stored in catalogs that can be shared so anyone can contribute new content.
Fanatical Support
We believe timely and responsive support is crucial to the success of any software platform used in schools, even more so when that software is an assessment system used daily by teachers and students.
Customer service and support are handled in-house by the people who built VAST. You'll never be left wondering what to do when a student can’t log in on a testing day.
Integrations
-
Student Information System (SIS)
VAST integrates with your SIS to pull students, teachers, schedules, and classrooms.
VAST works best with Aeries, syncing every 15 minutes.
-
Logins
VAST supports single sign-on with logins you already have. If your district uses ClassLink, teachers and students are automatically given appropriate access to their classes when they log in through their ClassLink portal.
